Product Description

The most prominent properties of the Para Aramid are its high strength, high modulus and heat resistance. For Para Aramid, ratio of weight/strength is 6 times of steel wire, 3 times of glass fiber and twice of high-strength nylon. Ratio of weight / modulus is 3 times of steel wire, twice of glass fiber and 10 times of high strength nylon. Para Aramid can keep 95% strength after working for 500 hours at 160ºC and keeps 75% strength after working for 100 hours at 200ºC. Para Aramid is often used as a special structure material with properties of light weight, heat-resistant.

Application

Military and sophisticated technique field
Para Aramid is used in military and sophisticated field to produce bulletproof clothes, bulletproof helmets, anti-cut clothes, anti explosion clothes, bulletproof vehicle body, ship armor and parachutes etc. to prevent from dangers. In aero-space field, Para Aramid is used to make reinforced composite material for astronavigation, rockets and planes as structure material with the properties of lessening weight, increasing effective loading and saving power fuel.

Composite material
A large amount of composite material which is made from Para Aramid is adopted in civil planes, helicopters and ships. The weight of composite material made from Para Aramid is 30% lighter than composite material comprising glass fiber. Non-woven fabric made from Para Aramid is used in top-end printed substrate.  Para Aramid is also widely adopted in ordinary life consumption area, such as sporting goods, compressed air tanks, coated fabrics and so on.

Tyres and rubber products
As for performance, Para Aramid is the best bone material for tyres and machine rubber goods (MRG). Para Aramid almost fits all the requirements of light weight, high strength, dimensional stability and fatigue resistance to be bone material for tyres. Fabric made from Para Aramid is used in tyres to less layer thickness and weight, be easy to heat emission, have small deformation and rolling resistance so that oil consumption could be decreased, as well as service life of tyres could be extended, especially for high-speed and heavy loaded vehicles and planes. Conveyor belts reinforced by Para Aramid are able to carry on future distance transportation with the property of light weight and high strength. Pipes and conveyor belts reinforced by Para Aramid have better performance in terms of heat resistance and deformation environment.

Safety Protection
Para Aramid is used for producing high temperature resistant and cutting resistant protective gloves. Fire protection clothing compound with Para Aramid could increase fabric's robustness, avoid PMIA fabric shrink and rupture in flame. It is more suitable for using in open flame and high temperature environment.

Optical Fiber cable
Para Aramid is largely used as reinforced material in optical cable. It avoids stress and distortion of optical cable through high modulus Para Aramid carrying tension and guarantees the signal transmission performance of cable. Para Aramid cable has high strength and shows good characters in resistance to high temperature, low temperature, sea water, weak acid and alkali corrosion. It could be used in special environment such as ocean, military industry and electric power system, etc.

Civil engineering
In civil engineering, we use Para Aramid staple fiber to strengthen concrete, and use reinforced Para Aramid filament resin to instead steel bar for concrete pre-stressing and reinforcing. It reduce the weight of building itself, improve the components' ability of shear resistance. Para Aramid is used for reinforcement and repair of building structure which increases the carrying capacity and prolongs the service life of bridges, docks and roads.

Friction Seal
Para Aramid is largely used in friction element of vehicles' braking system, sealing packing as well as heat-resisting and heat-insulating materials.
